Join us on May 24th: SHUT OUT: Is Higher Education Truly Public? Ten Years After Proposition 209
Do you think diversity, equity and equal representation in public education is a good thing? If so, then this is the place to be next Wednesday evening!
2006 marks the 10-year anniversary of the passage of Prop. 209. Join us for an expert panel discussion on the effects of Prop. 209 on higher education - past, present and future efforts. Find out about the latest initiatives to address those effects and efforts to possibly overturn 209. The event will be an opportunity to learn the lessons that 10 years of Prop. 209 has taught us, bring our communities together around initiatives to fight for equity and equal representation in our higher education system and meet some of the top community leaders who are at the forefront of this issue.
