September 25-October 21 Visual artists Kerimbek Bukar Akmatov (Kyrgyz Republic), Alisher Primkulov (Tajikistan) and Assel Alpysbaev (Kazakhstan) are in Johnson, VT to participate in month-long, in-depth residencies at the Vermont Studio Program.

October 7-13Long Arms Music Festival: Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros, Shelly Hirsch, Charles Gayle, Mark Stewart and David Moss perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This new festival was created in memory of Nikolai Dmitriev, founder of the DOM Cultural Center.
